Checking on the bible my attention was drawn to this passage. Most times I just love to open my Bible without having any scripture in mind. And I try to be as attentive as I can be to what God has for me in the passage whichever chapter I opened to.
See what I got.
Isaiah chapter 42 : 9 NIV version – It says “Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.”
I love this version CEV – Everything has happened just as I said it would; now I will announce what will happen next. I feel as children of God this verse should help us to believe God for who He is. Going down memory lane, I have several of His promises fulfilled in my life, I mean even when things seemed so impossible and all I could do was trust and obey, while I weep in my closet out of desperation.
What an assurance!
God is talking to us, His beloved children. The former things are come to pass. Isaiah 46: 11b “yea, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed, I will also do it.” Now you see. I did exactly what I said I will do. Glory to God.
Then, He said wait— New Things do I declare. I’m much excited. I hope you are too. Take a moment and think about the testimonies of the past. And while you are thanking Him, He comes along and say I’m about to do a new thing. Hallelujah!
No Boundaries, no limitation
This promise it’s not bias in any form. This promise as nothing to do with whether you are a man or a woman, educated or uneducated, married or single perhaps divorced, black, brown or white.
The only criteria is being born of the spirit. The Bible says in 2 Corinthian 5:17 “Wherefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old things are passed away; behold, they are become new.” The moment you surrender your life to Jesus. His promises over you are YES AND AMEN!
Finally, this part Before they spring forth I will tell you of them. If you are reading this be ready for that new thing. For God is speaking to me as well that there is something new around the corner. Be expectant!
